Hebron, Maine - Today HebronMedia announced CommunityNews, the company's first content management framework. With a focus on small media outlets, CommunityNews delivers a rich media experience similar to leading media organizations without the financial, technical or managerial overhead.

"This is a big step forward" said Founder & CEO John Speranza.

"In the past, a custom content management system was created for each website we developed. This was highly inefficent, and as a result, each website we developed was proprietary and required knowledge of how the application was structured in order to make significant upgrades or changes. With CommunityNews, we've architected an enterprise level solution and really taken advantage of the power afforded to us by modern technologies such as web-based object-oriented application development, the .NET Framework, and in particular ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Before, such technologies were used, but seldom were the enterprise level tools utilized to make the applications more efficent - to be honest, the size and scope of the projects we worked on didn't merit it. CommunityNews takes advantage of these, which will make future applications standardized, simplified, and scalable."

It was also noted that CommunityNews will benefit all HebronMedia customers, both old and new. New customers will see a faster delivery time of their website with more powerful features, owing to the underlying framework in CommunityNews that will be utilized for every new application. Additionally, old customers will be entitled to a free upgrade to participate in the beta program.

CommunityNews touts powerful features such as Inline Editing, Extensive Auditing, Moderated User Galleries & Comments, Simple Intuitive Administration, User Personalization, and global content integration. An early alpha release is expected in December 2007, with a beta release in Q1 2008. Final release is expected in either Q2 or Q3 2008.
